Mt Warning

The Tweed Valley is home to some of Australia’s best preserved and most amazing World Heritage listed subtropical Rainforests. Leaving your accommodation we meander through scenic inland villages passing through the green and gold of the sugar cane plantations. The tour first stop is the Visitor Information centre located within the friendly art deco country town of Murwillumbah on the mighty Tweed River. Here you can access a range of interpretive information on the rainforest and Tweed region. From here we arrive at the Tweed Art Gallery. (Home of the Archibald prizewinner)  The tour continues into the Mnt Warning National Park, along the way you will visit one of the regions renowned potters and browse through their vast selection of works.  Mnt Warning is the ancient core of the largest and best-preserved extinct shield volcano in the world. Arrive at the base and walk the Lyrebird track, which winds some 200 metres through a forest of towering palms to a rainforest-viewing platform, which is a magical experience. Returning we stop at Madura Tea, which is Australia’s, leading specialist Tea grower. You will tour the plantations and factory getting to understand the Tea making process. Plenty of time to sip some tea and purchase gifts.

Tropical Fruit World

Tweed Coastal Towns and Byron Bay

Experience all of the Tweed Coast from Fingal to Kingscliff, to Casuarina to Cabarita to Hastings Point to Pottsville. From here travel inland to Mooball where you will enjoy morning tea with a twist at the Moo Moo Café. Head on down to Bilinudgel, Brunswick Heads and onto Byron Bay. Stop at the lighthouse and either walk or catch the bus down to Watego’s Beach. Lunch at the Famous Byron Beach Hotel followed by shopping in Byron town. From here it’s off to Myocum to Mullumbimby to Ocean Shores and returning to Hotel.
